High-friction areas — particularly the driver’s footwell and other frequently contacted areas of FloorLiners and floor mats — may experience accelerated coating wear. Repeated friction from shoes, boots, dirt and debris can reduce or remove ceramic protection sooner than the coating’s stated maximum durability. 1-, 3-, 5- and 8-year designations represent the coating product’s rated durability under appropriate conditions and are not a guarantee of service life on high-friction surfaces.

Will ceramic coating make my WeatherTech products easier to clean?
Ceramic protection can help coated surfaces resist contamination and make routine cleaning and maintenance easier. It adds a sacrificial layer over the WeatherTech surface, although durability depends heavily on use, maintenance and the amount of physical contact the surface receives.
Will a 1-year ceramic coating actually last one year on FloorLiners?
Not necessarily. FloorLiners and floor mats are high-friction surfaces. Shoes, boots, dirt, sand and repeated foot movement — especially in the driver’s footwell — can wear ceramic protection away considerably faster than it would wear on a low-contact surface. The coating’s rated durability represents its potential lifespan under appropriate conditions, not a guaranteed lifespan on high-friction surfaces.
What’s the difference between FloorLiner and FloorLiner HP?
Both are vehicle-specific floor-protection options, but their materials, design and feel differ. Availability can also vary by vehicle. Tell us what you drive and what characteristics matter most to you and we’ll help determine which option is available and makes the most sense.
Can I buy WeatherTech products from you without installation?
Absolutely. You can purchase your WeatherTech products from us and install them yourself. Local pickup is available, and we can also ship your order for an additional cost. Professional installation is simply available for customers who would rather have us handle it.
