The Over the Top 8/3 Stack begins with our long-term 8-year TEOS coating as the foundation. During the proper application and curing window, our 3-year graphene coating is introduced before the foundation has fully cured. The result is a distinct integrated coating system designed to deliver long-term protection, enhanced water-spot resistance and an exceptionally deep, wet, freshly waxed appearance.

WHY THE 8/3 STACK IS DIFFERENT
The purpose of the 8/3 Stack isn’t to add eight years and three years together and call it an 11-year coating. The numbers identify the two professional coating systems used to create the stack and the characteristics each brings to the finished result.

Traditional ceramic coatings are known for durability, chemical resistance and strong water behavior, but not every coating delivers the warm, deep, wet appearance enthusiasts associate with freshly waxed paint. The Over the Top 8/3 Stack was designed to bring more of that rich visual depth into a long-term ceramic coating system.

The graphene component adds another level of visual depth and richness to the finished surface, helping create the dark, wet, freshly detailed appearance that makes paint look noticeably more refined.
GRAPHENE WATER-SPOT RESISTANCE

Timing matters. The Over the Top system is built by applying the graphene coating during the proper application window while the TEOS foundation is still curing. Rather than waiting for the first coating to fully cure and then simply adding another product on top, the two coatings are used together as one carefully timed stack.
WHY THAT MATTERS
Each coating contributes a different characteristic to the finished system. The TEOS coating provides the durable foundation and minor filling capability. The graphene coating contributes additional gloss, slickness and improved water-spot resistance.
By building the stack during the controlled curing process, the goal is not to create an exaggerated durability claim. The goal is to create a distinct variation of the coating system with a different combination of appearance and performance.

The point is combining two different coating characteristics into one Over the Top 8/3 Stack.
PROPER PREPARATION BEFORE PROTECTION
THE OVER THE TOP DECONTAMINATION PROCESS
Before the Over the Top 8/3 Stack ever touches your paint, the surface goes through a complete decontamination and preparation process. Even a new vehicle can carry waxes, sealants, iron contamination, bonded debris and mineral deposits that need to be removed before a professional ceramic coating is installed.
STEP 01
STRIP WASH
We begin with a thorough strip wash designed to remove road film, grime and existing waxes or sealants that could interfere with the preparation and coating process.
STEP 02
IRON REMOVAL
A dedicated iron remover chemically dissolves embedded ferrous contamination such as brake dust, rail dust and environmental fallout that normal washing cannot safely remove.
STEP 03
CLAY BAR TREATMENT
Remaining bonded contamination is mechanically removed with a clay bar treatment, leaving the paint cleaner and smoother before the next stage of preparation.
STEP 04
MINERAL CLEANSE
A dedicated water-spot remover is used as a mineral cleanse to help dissolve mineral deposits and hard-water contamination left behind on the finish — an especially important step for vehicles exposed to North Texas water.
STEP 05
PAINT INSPECTION & CORRECTION
Once the contamination has been removed, we can evaluate the true condition of the finish. Any necessary polishing or paint correction is then performed before coating rather than sealing visible defects underneath years of protection.
STEP 06
C6 APP ADHESION PROMOTER POLISH
The final preparation step is C6 APP Adhesion Promoter Polish. Rather than simply wiping the paint with a conventional surface prep, APP is designed to condition the clearcoat at a molecular level before the ceramic coating is installed.
The process temporarily swells the microscopic structure of the clearcoat, allowing the coating to interact more deeply with the prepared surface rather than simply sitting on top of it.
SERIOUS WATER BEHAVIOR
The Over the Top 8/3 Stack delivers the strong hydrophobic water behavior expected from a premium ceramic coating, while the graphene component adds improved resistance to water spotting — an important advantage against the heat, minerals and hard-water exposure vehicles face throughout North Texas.
NEW DOESN’T ALWAYS MEAN PERFECT
EVEN BRAND-NEW PAINT NEEDS PROPER PREPARATION
A vehicle can have only a handful of miles on the odometer and still arrive with contamination and paint defects. Transportation, outdoor storage, dealership washing, improper drying and lot preparation can leave behind iron contamination, mineral deposits, bonded contaminants, light swirls, towel marks and water spots before you’ve even taken the vehicle home.
That’s why we don’t treat a new vehicle as automatically coating-ready. We inspect and prepare the actual finish in front of us before installing the Over the Top 8/3 Stack.
PREP IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME
WE’RE NOT INTERESTED IN LOCKING DEFECTS UNDER YEARS OF PROTECTION.
Ceramic coating protects the finish underneath it — it doesn’t magically correct that finish. If swirls, water spots or other correctable defects are present, they’ll still be there after the coating cures.
The goal is simple: get the paint where we want it first, then protect that finish with the Over the Top system.

8/3 STACK CERAMIC COATING QUESTIONS
Is the 8/3 Stack an 11-year ceramic coating?
No. The 8/3 designation identifies the 8-year TEOS foundation and the 3-year graphene coating used to build the system. We do not add the durability ratings together and market it as an 11-year coating.
Is the graphene coating simply applied over a fully cured 8-year coating?
No. The graphene component is introduced during the proper application and cure window before the TEOS foundation has fully cured. That is what makes Over the Top a deliberately built coating stack rather than simply applying one finished coating over another.
Why use graphene in the Over the Top system?
The graphene coating contributes enhanced gloss, slickness and improved water-spot resistance while helping create the deeper, wetter, freshly waxed appearance that defines the Over the Top package.
Does the coating prevent water spots completely?
No ceramic coating makes a vehicle immune to mineral deposits or water spots. The graphene component provides improved resistance to water spotting, but proper washing, drying and maintenance are still important.
Why do you use C6 APP before installing the coating?
C6 APP Adhesion Promoter Polish is our final paint-preparation step. It conditions the clearcoat and is designed to promote deeper coating interaction with the prepared paint surface before the 8-year TEOS foundation is installed.
Does a brand-new vehicle still need paint preparation?
Often, yes. New vehicles can still have iron contamination, mineral deposits, bonded contaminants, light swirls, towel marks and water spots from transportation, storage and dealership preparation. We inspect the actual finish rather than assuming new paint is coating-ready.
Can Over the Top be installed on a used vehicle?
